UAS Maintenance: General Practices

This course covers general aspects of small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS, or drones) maintenance, including responsibilities for maintaining airworthiness and complying with regulations. Organizational structures of sUAS maintenance teams will be discussed in order to illustrate the various levels and scope of responsibility. The importance of technical publications will be reviewed, along with the different types of maintenance. Also covered will be standard techniques for the performance of maintenance, including record-keeping, inspections, life-limited components, modifications, and return to service procedures.
