Saturday, 1/25, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Instructor: Scott Burgess, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University

Track: Operations | Pilot | UAS

This course features a comprehensive examination on using small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS, or drones) to conduct airborne inspections. Elements critical to the use of sUAS for conducting inspections are: safe and efficient flight operations; data collection, processing, and transfer; communications; pre-and post-flight planning; and an understanding of sUAS regulations. These factors are essential to planning and conducting safe inspection operations and developing mission profiles. Participants are given the opportunity to prepare various elements of plans for sUAS operations for later implementation.
