This course covers the FAA’s organization, authority, and process for promulgating rules, then explains how the general requirements in 14 CFR link together in a “regulatory chain” that must be understood by aviation businesses. Topics specific to maintenance include Part 43 (maintenance, preventive maintenance, rebuilding, and alteration); Part 65 Subpart D (certification of mechanics); Part 65, Subpart E (certification of repairmen); and Part 145 (repair stations).
